The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI) and the visiting St. Joseph Bears (St. Joseph, MI), saw Portage Central's baseball team beat St. Joseph by a margin of 16-6.

The Mustangs (15-3) will now prepare for their battle against Niles (Niles, MI). The Vikings enter the non-league battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Niles defeated Dowagiac (Dowagiac, MI), 16-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Bears face the Lakeshore Lancers (Stevensville, MI) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, May 13. St. Joseph will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record.
