In Saturday's non-league match, the host North Plainfield Canucks softball team scored a nice 18-3 win over the Dunellen Destroyers.
The Canucks (10-6) will now prepare for their match against Somerville (Somerville, NJ). The Pioneers come into the non-league match with a 13-5 record. In their last match, Somerville notched a victory over Belleville (Belleville, NJ), 14-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Destroyers confront the Carteret Ramblers (Carteret, NJ) in a non-league match, on Monday, May 12. Dunellen will attempt to better on its 10-8 season record. The Ramblers come into the match with a 7-11 record after their 17-2 non-league win over Linden (Linden, NJ).
