The Homestead Spartans softball squad (Fort Wayne, IN), was routed 11-8 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Mississinewa Indians (Gas City, IN)

With the triumph, Mississinewa improves its record to 13-4 on the year. The Indians host Blackford (Hartford City, IN) to face the Bruins in a Central Indiana contest on Tuesday, May 13. The Bruins enter the contest with a record of 4-8. Blackford lost 5-1 in their recent league contest against Oak Hill (Converse, IN)

The Spartans now hold a 15-4 record. They play next when they host Carroll for a non-league contest on Monday, May 12. Homestead will face a Chargers squad coming off a 10-9 non-league win over Wawasee (Syracuse, IN). The Chargers record now stands at 13-4.
