The Lakeland Thunderbirds softball team scored 2 runs and held the host Shawano Community Hawks to 1 in the Thunderbirds non-league win on Saturday.

The Thunderbirds now have a 14-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mosinee for a Great Northern bout on Monday, May 12. Lakeland will battle a Indians team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Fox Valley Lutheran (Appleton, WI). The Indians record now stands at 13-5.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Winneconne Wolves (Winneconne, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 13. Shawano Community will attempt to advance on its 9-8 season record.
