The Mathews Mustangs got by the host Pymatuning Valley Lakers baseball team by a count of 5-4 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Heartland Christian for a non-league bout on Thursday, May 12. Mathews will face a Lions team coming off a 17-1 non-league win over Maplewood (Cortland, OH). The Lions record now stands at 8-7.

Next, the Lakers face the Windham Bombers (Windham, OH) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, May 12. Pymatuning Valley will attempt to move on its 5-6 season record. The Bombers enter the bout with a 7-5 record after their 11-0 non-league win over Lordstown (Warren, OH).
