Bay Shore Marauders (Bay Shore, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ward Melville Patriots (East Setauket, NY), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Marauders now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Connetquot for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 13. Bay Shore will battle a T-Birds squad coming off a 9-6 league win over Northport (Northport, NY). The T-Birds record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Ward Melville falls to 2-14 on the campaign. The Patriots host Walt Whitman (Huntington Station, NY) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 12.
