The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (Tampa, FL) and the visiting McKeel Academy Wildcats (Lakeland, FL), saw Berkeley Prep's softball squad nip McKeel Academy by a count of 5-1.
The Buccaneers now sport a 25-2 record. They take the field next when they host Academy of the Holy Names for a non-league match on Tuesday, May 17. Berkeley Prep will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Bishop Verot (Fort Myers, FL). The Jaguars record now stands at 14-7.
With the loss, McKeel Academy falls to 10-16 on the campaign.
