The Somers Spartans softball team scored 13 runs and limited the host Brewster Bears to 11 in the Spartans league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Somers improves its record to 14-4 on the year. The Spartans host Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT) to clash with the Highlanders in a non-league game on Thursday, May 12. The Highlanders come into the game with a record of 11-2. Northwestern Regional won 16-1 in their recent non-league game against Housatonic-Wamogo (Falls Village, CT)

In their next game, the Bears clash with the Walter Panas Panthers (Cortlandt Manor, NY) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 14. Brewster will attempt to improve on its 9-9 season record. The Panthers come into the game with a 1-3 record after their 10-0 league loss to Hendrick Hudson (Montrose, NY).
