The Monmouth Academy Mustangs softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Mount Abram Roadrunners to 5 in the Mustangs league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Monmouth Academy improves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Mustangs host Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME) to clash with the Phoenix in a Class C South game on Friday, May 13. The Phoenix come into the game with a record of 3-5. Spruce Mountain won 10-8 in their recent league game against Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME)

In their next game, the Roadrunners clash with the Buckfield Bucks (Buckfield, ME) in a non-league game, on Friday, May 13. Mount Abram will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Bucks come into the game with a 2-6 record after their 7-2 non-league win over Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME).
