Illinois High School Softball - Serena loses to Newark

May 11, 2022: Newark, IL 60541

The Newark Norsemen softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Serena Huskers to 1 in the Norsemen league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Newark improves its record to 25-3 on the year. The Norsemen travel to Clifton Central (Clifton, IL) to clash with the Comets in a non-league game on Saturday, May 14. The Comets come into the game with a record of 14-9.

In their next game, the Huskers clash with the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL) in a non-league game, on Thursday, May 12. Serena will attempt to improve on its 14-6 season record. The Cavaliers come into the game with a 17-4 record after their 11-9 league win over Sycamore (Sycamore, IL).
