Spectators at Thursday's league battle between the Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA) and the host James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), witnessed Alleghany's baseball team gain a win over James River by a score of 12-2.

The Mountaineers (15-0) will now prepare for their match against Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Highlanders go into the Three Rivers match with a 9-9 record. In their last match, Glenvar gained a win over Radford (Radford, VA), 7-4, in a league match.
