New York High School Baseball - LaSalle Academy loses to Bishop Loughlin

The Bishop Loughlin Lions crushed the visiting LaSalle Academy Cardinals baseball team by a count of 14-2 in Thursday's league bout.
The Lions now possess a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nazareth for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 16.
Next, the Cardinals face the St. Edmund Prep Eagles (Brooklyn, NY) in a Catholic A - North bout, on Friday, May 19. LaSalle Academy will attempt to move on its 5-10 season record. The Eagles enter the bout with a 4-1 record after their 9-3 league win over Cathedral Prep (Elmhurst, NY).

CARDINALS FEEL THE BITE OF THE LIONS
Thursday, May 11, 2023 – The La Salle Cardinals lost today 2-14 to the Lions of Bishop Loughlin at the Parade Grounds in Brooklyn. It was La Salle’s fourth straight loss as their record fell to 5-10 overall and 5-6 in the CHSAA Intersectional ‘A’ division.
The Cardinals were dominated on the mound by the Lions pitching, striking out 11 times and generating only one hit, a single by Maxwell Sayers in the top of the 4th. La Salle’s Anthony Gonzalez pitched well but ended up as the hard luck loser giving up a bunch of soft hits in three and a third innings.
