Churchill Bulldogs (Potomac, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Wootton Patriots (Rockville, MD), 2-1 in a league test.

With the win, Churchill upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Walter Johnson (Bethesda, MD) to battle the Wildcats in a Montgomery County 4A - West test on Saturday, May 13. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 15-4. Walter Johnson won 6-3 in their recent non-league test against Einstein (Kensington, MD)

With the defeat, Wootton falls to 11-8 on the season.
