The Grassfield Grizzlies crushed the host Indian River Braves baseball team by a count of 9-3 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Grizzlies now possess a 15-0 record. They take the field next when they host Hickory for a non-league bout on Tuesday, May 16. Grassfield will face a Hawks team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 7-7.
Next, the Braves face the Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, May 16. Indian River will attempt to move on its 4-10 season record. The Tigers enter the bout with a 1-12 record after their 14-0 non-league loss to Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA).
