In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Monticello Mustangs soccer squad scored a close 5-0 win over the Orange County Fighting Hornets.
The Mustangs (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Warriors go into the non-league battle with a 12-0 record. In their last battle, Western Albemarle nipped Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA), 2-1, in a non-league battle.
The Fighting Hornets (2-9) will now prepare for their battle against Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 3-8 record. In their last battle, Goochland was overwhelmed by Monticello (Charlottesville, VA), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
