In Thursday's league test, the host Middletown Islanders lacrosse squad scored a tight 11-8 victory over the Chariho Chargers.
The Islanders now have a 10-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Kingstown for a Division 2 test on Monday, May 15. Middletown will face a Rebels squad coming off a 20-12 league loss to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Rebels record now stands at 8-4.
In their next game, the Chargers face the Coventry Oakers (Coventry, RI) in a Division 2 test, on Monday, May 15. Chariho will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Oakers go into the game with a 0-12 record after their 12-7 league loss to Cranston West (Cranston, RI).
