In Thursday's non-league contest, the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish (Akron, OH) lacrosse squad routed the visiting Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA), by a count of 22-8.

Coming up next, the Fighting Irish confront the Roosevelt Rough Riders (Kent, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 13. St. Vincent-St. Mary will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Rough Riders enter the challenge with a 1-14 record after their 16-4 league loss to Revere (Richfield, OH).

The Hornets (2-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Boardman (Youngstown, OH). The Spartans enter the non-league challenge with a 9-7 record. In their last challenge, Boardman beat Canfield (Canfield, OH), 8-2, in a non-league challenge.
