Avon Braves (Avon, NY) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Le Roy Oatkan Knights (Le Roy, NY), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Braves now sport a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Livonia for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 15. Avon will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 16-0 non-league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-13.

With the loss, Le Roy falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Oatkan knights host Letchworth (Gainesville, NY) to face the Indians in a Livingston County Division 2 challenge on Saturday, May 13. The Indians enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. Letchworth won 16-0 in their recent league challenge against Geneseo (Geneseo, NY)
