Northview Wildcats (Grand Rapids, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cedar Springs Red Hawks (Cedar Springs, MI), 9-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 16-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greenville for a Ottawa-Kent - White challenge on Monday, May 15.

With the loss, Cedar Springs falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Red hawks host Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI) to face the Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 18. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 4-8.
