Cuba City Cubans (Cuba City, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mineral Point Pointers (Mineral Point, WI), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Cubans now own a 14-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fennimore for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 15. Cuba City will battle a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Boscobel (Boscobel, WI). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Mineral Point falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Pointers host Darlington (Darlington, WI) to battle the Redbirds in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities challenge on Monday, May 15. The Redbirds enter the challenge with a record of 1-9.
