Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals (Johannesburg, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Harbor Springs Rams (Harbor Springs, MI), 19-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 14-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bellaire for a Ski-Valley challenge on Friday, May 12. Johannesburg-Lewiston will face a Eagles squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Mancelona (Mancelona, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Harbor Springs falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Elk Rapids (Elk Rapids, MI) to face the Elks in a Lake Michigan challenge on Monday, May 15. The Elks enter the challenge with a record of 18-5. Elk Rapids lost 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Traverse City West (Traverse City, MI)
