The Martin County Cardinals routed the visiting Knott County Central Patriots softball squad by a count of 13-4 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Cardinals (8-13) will now prepare for their battle against Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 22-8 record.
The Patriots now sport a 2-15 record. They play next when they travel to Belfry for a non-league battle on Friday, May 12. Knott County Central will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The Pirates record now stands at 12-9.
