Muenster Hornets (Muenster, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Petrolia Pirates (Petrolia, TX), 5-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 19-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Trenton for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 20. Muenster will face a Tigers squad coming off a 9-2 non-league win over Riesel (Riesel, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 28-1.

With the loss, Petrolia falls to 16-5 on the campaign.
