In Saturday's league game, the visiting Missisquoi Valley Thunderbirds baseball team scored a tight 9-4 victory over the Middlebury Tigers.
The Thunderbirds (7-1) will now prepare for their game against Milton (Milton, VT). The Yellowjackets go into the Metro game with a 2-5 record. In their last game, Milton was overwhelmed by Mt. Abraham (Bristol, VT), 9-2, in a league game.
The Tigers (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Vergennes (Vergennes, VT). The Commodores go into the Metro game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Vergennes tipped Enosburg Falls (Enosburg Falls, VT), 5-1, in a non-league game.
