McLeod Longhorns (McLeod, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Como-Pickton Eagles (Como, TX), 11-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Longhorns now own a 24-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Beckville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 18. McLeod will battle a Bearcats squad coming off a 5-0 non-league win over Groveton (Groveton, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 28-5.

With the loss, Como-Pickton falls to 33-6 on the campaign.
