York Wildcats (York, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Greely Rangers (Cumberland Center, ME), 17-5 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 9-0 record. They take the field next when they host Fryeburg for a Class B South challenge on Monday, May 13. York will face a Raiders squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Spruce Mountain (Jay, ME). The Raiders record now stands at 2-8.

With the loss, Greely falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Rangers host Cape Elizabeth (Cape Elizabeth, ME) to face the Capers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. The Capers enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Cape Elizabeth lost 10-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME)
