Weyauwega-Fremont Warhawks (Weyauwega, WI) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Menominee Indian Eagles (Keshena, WI), 12-6 in a league challenge.
The Warhawks now sport a 9-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Westfield Area for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 13. Weyauwega-Fremont will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 9-5 league win over Adams-Friendship (Adams, WI). The Pioneers record now stands at 13-4.
With the loss, Menominee Indian falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Eagles host Manawa (Manawa, WI) to face the Wolves in a Central Wisconsin - East challenge on Monday, May 13. The Wolves enter the challenge with a record of 12-6.
