Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM), saw Sandia's baseball squad knock off Rio Rancho by a count of 7-2.

Coming up next, the Matadors play the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league battle, on Friday, May 13. Sandia will attempt to move on its 21-7 season record. The Bears enter the battle with a 23-4 record after their 8-6 non-league win over Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM).
