In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) baseball squad edged the host Santa Rosa Lions (Santa Rosa, NM), by a final score of 3-2.

With the win, Tularosa upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Eunice (Eunice, NM) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 13. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 24-1. Eunice won 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Menaul (Albuquerque, NM)

With the defeat, Santa Rosa falls to 18-8 on the season.
