With the win, Vernon Hills upgrades its record to 23-5 on the year. The Cougars host Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL) to play the Broncos in a non-league bout on Friday, May 13. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Montini Catholic lost 2-0 in their recent league test against Chicago Mt. Carmel (Chicago, IL)

The Blue Demons (8-22) will now prepare for their test against Maine West (Des Plaines, IL). The Warriors enter the Central Suburban North test with a 23-11 record. In their last test, Maine West was knocked off by Niles North (Skokie, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
