Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad achieve victory over the host Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI), 7-3 in a league test.

The Lions now have a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Providence Country Day for a match on Saturday, May 14. Lincoln will play a Knights team coming off a 7-6 league win over Burrillville (Harrisville, RI). The Knights record now stands at 8-3.

With the defeat, Ponaganset drops to 3-7 on the season. The Chieftains host Pilgrim (Warwick, RI) to play the Patriots in a Division 3 match on Monday, May 16. The Patriots go into the match with a record of 12-0. Pilgrim won 15-4 in their recent league match against Narragansett (Narragansett, RI)
