Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Hornets confront the Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Monday, May 16. Orange County will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 8-0 league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA).

The Mustangs now possess a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they host Western Albemarle for a Jefferson challenge on Tuesday, May 17. Monticello will confront a Warriors team coming off a 7-0 league win over Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 12-2.
