The James River Knights softball team (Buchanan, VA), was routed 4-1 in Thursday's league test with the visiting Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA)

Coming up next, the Mountaineers encounter the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets (Fishersville, VA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 14. Alleghany will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Green Hornets come into the test with a 7-12 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Waynesboro (Waynesboro, VA).

The Knights (13-4) will now prepare for their test against Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Highlanders come into the Three Rivers test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Glenvar edged Radford (Radford, VA), 13-3, in a league test.
