Archbishop Williams Bishops (Braintree, MA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Cardinal Spellman Cardinals (Brockton, MA), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Bishops now sport a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to St. Mary's for a Catholic Central - Large challenge on Sunday, May 15. Archbishop Williams will face a Spartans squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Arlington Catholic (Arlington, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 12-3.

With the loss, Cardinal Spellman falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Fontbonne Academy (Milton, MA) to face the Ducks in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 13. The Ducks enter the challenge with a record of 2-5. Fontbonne Academy lost 12-10 in their recent non-league challenge against Boston Latin (Boston, MA)
