North Central Thunderbirds (Farmersburg, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Bloomfield Cardinals (Bloomfield, IN), 16-2 in a league challenge.

The Thunderbirds now own a 6-14 record. They take the field next when they host White River Valley for a Southwestern Indiana challenge on Saturday, May 14. North Central will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 19-0 non-league loss to Sullivan (Sullivan, IN). The Wolverines record now stands at 0-12.

With the loss, Bloomfield falls to 3-11 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Clay City (Clay City, IN) to battle the Eels in a Southwestern Indiana challenge on Monday, May 16. The Eels enter the challenge with a record of 17-4. Clay City won 4-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Northview (Brazil, IN)
