Burlington Red Devils (Burlington, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Melrose Red Raiders (Melrose, MA), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Red Devils now own a 12-0 record. They take the field next when they host Wakefield Memorial for a Middlesex challenge on Tuesday, May 17.

With the loss, Melrose falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Red raiders host Saugus (Saugus, MA) to battle the Sachems in a non-league challenge on Sunday, May 15. The Sachems enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Saugus lost 23-6 in their recent league challenge against Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA)
