Spectators at Thursday's league match between the California School for the Deaf Eagles (Fremont, CA) and the host Making Waves Academy Marlins (Richmond, CA), witnessed California School for the Deaf's softball squad tip Making Waves Academy by a count of 9-7.

The Eagles now sport a 3-8 record.

With the loss, Making Waves Academy moves to 5-14 on the season. The Marlins travel to Emery (Emeryville, CA) to face the Spartans in a non-league match on Friday, May 13. The Spartans go into the match with a record of 1-7. Emery lost 16-10 in their recent non-league match against Making Waves Academy (Richmond, CA)
