Elk Grove Grenadiers (Elk Grove Village, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Rolling Meadows Mustangs (Rolling Meadows, IL), 11-1 in a league challenge.

The Grenadiers now own a 15-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buffalo Grove for a Mid-Suburban East challenge on Saturday, May 14. Elk Grove will battle a Bison squad coming off a 8-0 league win over Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL). The Bison record now stands at 18-3.

With the loss, Rolling Meadows falls to 6-18 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL) to battle the Bison in a Mid-Suburban East challenge on Monday, May 16. The Bison enter the challenge with a record of 21-3. Buffalo Grove won 11-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Grayslake Central (Grayslake, IL)
