The Fitch Falcons got by the visiting Waterford Lancers softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Thursday's non-league battle.

The Falcons (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against North Branford (North Branford, CT). The Thunderbirds go into the non-league battle with a 11-5 record. In their last battle, North Branford nudged Old Saybrook (Old Saybrook, CT), 21-7, in a league battle.

The Lancers now sport a 13-3 record. They play next when they host Windsor for a non-league battle on Saturday, May 14. Waterford will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Newington (Newington, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 8-9.
