Halifax Wildcats (Halifax, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Millersburg Indians (Millersburg, PA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they host East Juniata for a Tri-Valley challenge on Monday, May 16. Halifax will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 8-0 league loss to Susquenita (Duncannon, PA). The Tigers record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Millersburg falls to 6-3 on the campaign. The Indians host Trinity (Camp Hill, PA) to battle the Shamrocks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 14. The Shamrocks enter the challenge with a record of 5-5. Trinity lost 10-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Middletown (Middletown, PA)
