Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Sparkman Senators (Harvest, AL) and the host Huntsville Panthers (Huntsville, AL), witnessed Sparkman's softball squad tip Huntsville by a count of 1-0.

The Senators now sport a 31-13 record. They play next when they travel to Spain Park for a non-league match on Thursday, May 12. Sparkman will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Hewitt-Trussville (Trussville, AL). The Jaguars record now stands at 30-12.

With the loss, Huntsville moves to 25-22 on the season.
