Lake Placid Bombers (Lake Placid, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Minerva Mountaineers (Olmstedville, NY), 13-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bombers now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chazy for a Section 7 Mountain Valley challenge on Friday, May 13. Lake Placid will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 9-6 non-league loss to Willsboro Central (Willsboro, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 3-6.

With the loss, Minerva falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Mountaineers host Boquet Valley (Elizabethtown, NY) to battle the Griffins in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 13. The Griffins enter the challenge with a record of 7-3.
