The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) and the host Shead Tigers (Eastport, ME), saw Calais's softball squad achieve victory over Shead by a count of 18-9.

The Blue Devils now sport a 3-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Narraguagus for a Class C North match on Monday, May 15. Calais will face a Knights squad coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Woodland (Baileyville, ME). The Knights record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Shead falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Sumner (East Sullivan, ME) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Saturday, May 13. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 5-5. Sumner lost 8-3 in their recent non-league match against Searsport (Searsport, ME)
