New York High School Softball - Gorton bounces Riverside

Gorton Wolves (Yonkers, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Riverside Rams (Yonkers, NY), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Wolves now own a 6-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brewster for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 17. Gorton will battle a Bears squad coming off a 13-4 league win over Somers (Lincolndale, NY). The Bears record now stands at 11-8.

With the loss, Riverside falls to 3-12 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Edgemont (Scarsdale, NY) to battle the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 15. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 6-10.
