Thomas Dale Knights (Chester, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host James River Midlothian Rapids (Midlothian, VA), 14-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Monacan for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 15. Thomas Dale will face a Chiefs squad coming off a 12-0 league loss to Cosby (Midlothian, VA). The Chiefs record now stands at 5-12.

With the loss, James River Midlothian falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Rapids host Manchester (Midlothian, VA) to face the Lancers in a Dominion challenge on Tuesday, May 16. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 12-7. Manchester won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Huguenot (Richmond, VA)
