New York High School Softball - Northeastern Clinton gets by Saranac

Spectators at Friday's league match between the Northeastern Clinton Cougars (Champlain, NY) and the host Saranac Chiefs (Saranac, NY), witnessed Northeastern Clinton's softball squad tip Saranac by a count of 11-10.

The Cougars now sport a 2-9 record. They play next when they host Beekmantown for a Section 7 Champlain Valley I match on Monday, May 15. Northeastern Clinton will face a Eagles squad coming off a 12-10 league win over Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Saranac moves to 8-5 on the season. The Chiefs travel to St. Mary's (Lancaster, NY) to face the Lancers in a non-league match on Saturday, May 13. The Lancers go into the match with a record of 11-3. St. Mary's won 15-3 in their recent league match against Nichols (Buffalo, NY)
