Spectators at Friday's league match between the Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA) and the visiting Smithfield Packers (Smithfield, VA), witnessed Poquoson's softball squad tip Smithfield by a count of 3-0.

The Islanders now sport a 16-1 record. They play next when they host York for a Bay Rivers match on Monday, May 15. Poquoson will face a Falcons squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Grafton (Yorktown, VA). The Falcons record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, Smithfield moves to 12-8 on the season.
