Wells Warriors (Wells, ME) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Yarmouth Clippers (Yarmouth, ME), 10-5 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Region for a Class B South challenge on Wednesday, May 17.

With the loss, Yarmouth falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Clippers travel to Mt. Ararat (Topsham, ME) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 13. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-8. Mt. Ararat lost 10-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Morse (Bath, ME)
