The Fort Fairfield Tigers baseball team scored 16 runs and held the host Ashland Hornets to 1 in the Tigers league win on Monday.
The Tigers now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Southern Aroostook for a Class D North test on Friday, May 16. Fort Fairfield will clash with a Warriors team coming off a 12-1 league loss to Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 3-3.
With the defeat, Ashland drops to 1-2 on the year. The Hornets host Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME) to clash with the Panthers in a Class D North test on Wednesday, May 14. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 1-5. Central Aroostook lost 10-3 in their recent league test against Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME)
