Massachusetts High School Baseball - Lynnfield holds off North Reading

In Monday's league game, the visiting Lynnfield Pioneers baseball team scored a close 6-2 victory over the North Reading Hornets.
The Pioneers (11-3) will now prepare for their game against Rockport (Rockport, MA). The Vikings enter the non-league game with a 2-10 record. In their last game, Rockport was overwhelmed by Manchester Essex (Manchester, MA), 11-1, in a league game.
Next, the Hornets face the Georgetown Royals (Georgetown, MA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 13. North Reading will attempt to improve on its 11-2 season record. The Royals enter the game with a 6-7 record after their 6-2 league win over Amesbury (Amesbury, MA).
